Regional and local community partners
It takes a village to run a railroad, and we’re proud to work with a number of regional institutions to develop and sustain economic development and cultural enrichment. In addition, we maintain representation on the boards of several area non-profit organizations. The Indiana NortheasternOur collaborations help grow not only local industry but tourism as well.
Steuben County Economic Development Corporation: A local development organization serving all of Steuben County, the SCEDC is our partner in working with existing and prospective customers in Steuben County.
INDOT: INDOT is responsible for constructing and maintaining interstate highways, U.S. routes, and state roads in Indiana, including adjacent overpasses, ramps, and traffic control devices, including signs and traffic signals, on these roadways.
MDOT: MDOT owns most of the Indiana Northeastern’s line in Michigan, and is a partner in freight and community development in Coldwater, Quincy, Litchfield, and Hillsdale.
Hillsdale County Economic Development Partnership: The EDP is a non-profit, investor-governed economic development organization primarily focused on increasing employment opportunities, private sector capital investments, and the local tax base in Hillsdale County.
